Tired of searching for a romantic comedy that will make you laugh until your sides hurt? Look no further!

For those who do not consider themselves food connoisseurs, pastry artisans, or sommeliers in training, this book may at times feel somewhat tedious, as these elements are the vehicle that moves the story forward. If this describes you, or if you can at least appreciate a book that caters to a European foodie&rsquo;s sheer bliss, you are in luck. Like many of its predecessors, &ldquo;The Pairing&rdquo; shares a beautifully woven love story of two people who, through miscommunication, were driven apart &ndash; only to come back together in the most unusual of ways. The essence and magic of Casey McQuiston, who uses they/them pronouns, shine brightly. It&rsquo;s always a joy to know that when they bring two protagonists together, they won&rsquo;t make it easy, but they will always make it fun!

The Pairing by Casey McQuiston

The primary challenge I find with the accidental pregnancy trope is the lingering question that plagues the HEA: &ldquo;If it weren&rsquo;t for the baby, would they be together?&rdquo; This concern is one of the reasons I am not the biggest fan of the trope; however, I thoroughly appreciate how Sidney did not shy away from addressing the elephant in the room. In fact, in &ldquo;Love Lessons,&rdquo; that seed of doubt was brought front and center. There was no instant love connection or drive by both characters to do the &ldquo;honorable thing&rdquo;. Sidney flipped the script and presented not only the obstacle of an unexpected pregnancy but one between mortal enemies. The twists and turns they had to navigate not only added wit, charm, and cheesy grin-worthy humor, it also made you fall in love with the characters and the ending even more than intended.

Love Lessons by Sidney Halston

First, I must confess (with my head hanging low) that I have yet to read a Jane Austen book. I know, the shame! That being said, Audrey and Emily have inspired me to start with Pride and Prejudice. I have heard the collective sigh around the world anytime the name "Mr. Darcy" is uttered, and I fully admit, if the actual character is anything like the one in this book, I get it - I finally get it! Having enjoyed Emma on 83rd Street, I jumped at the opportunity to devour another Jane Austen retelling by this talented duo. As I suspected, it did not disappoint.

I was so engrossed in one chapter that I didn&rsquo;t realize I had stepped too far to the left on the treadmill and almost fell off! I was drinking hot tea when a well-timed idiom mix-up had me choking. In short, &ldquo;Say It Again&rdquo; is funny! It&rsquo;s not just hilarious, it is so full of emotion that if you are not bent over in laughter, you are fanning your face to keep the tears from streaking your cheeks while reading it in public and receiving sidelong glances.</div>

Dear Dotty by Jaclyn Westlake

I can&rsquo;t even begin to describe how wonderful it was to return to Moonshine! In the third book of the Moonshine series, we turn our attention to the town heartthrob, Adam James. We were given a hint of something going down at the end of &ldquo;The Write Way for Love,&rdquo; and it turns out these two books are set within the same timeline. While this can be read as a standalone, reading the books out of order will reveal spoilers for the previous books. If you intend to read &ldquo;Meet Me in Moonshine&rdquo; (where it all begins), definitely read it first, as this will give away the ending of that book (and trust me, the mystery is what makes that book so much fun!). With Lissy&rsquo;s sass and Adam&rsquo;s ability to turn anything into an innuendo, get ready to laugh, swoon, and fall in love with the people of this quaint little town.

The Insufferable Adam James by Brooklyn Dean

As a huge fan of Elle Kennedy&rsquo;s contemporary hockey romances, it was a delight to discover that &ldquo;Body Check&rdquo; was not just her first contemporary romance, but also her first hockey romance&mdash;where it all began. Although &ldquo;Body Check&rdquo; is currently a standalone, the material is ripe for additional books, even 15 years later! While I&rsquo;m not certain how the original book fared, this extended version with added content and sporadic rewrites is definitely the Elle Kennedy we know and love!

Body Check by Elle Kennedy 

Having read three of Mazey Eddings' books, she has quickly become one of my favorite authors. The care she takes to not only address but also educate her readers is praiseworthy. "Late Bloomer" is no exception, as she takes on neurodiversity once more, tackling the topics of autism, ADHD, expectations, and adaptability. I will warn that those who have enjoyed Mazey's previous books may be in for a surprise with this one, as it adopts a more introspective approach rather than focusing on external interactions between characters. While the humor may take a backseat in this wonderful tale, the heart and talent of Mazey still shine through, weaving a beautiful story of how true opposites can find their way to one another, no matter what obstacles are in their way.

Late Bloomer by Mazey Edding

As the first book I&rsquo;ve read by Jilly Gagnon, I applaud her attention to detail in character and environment creation. &ldquo;Love You, Mean It&rdquo; delves into the demolition and reconstruction of its two main characters, reminding us that the stories we tell ourselves can be dangerously convincing&mdash;often holding us back from chasing our hopes and dreams due to a fear of the unknown.

Love You, Mean It by Jilly Gagnon

Each time I begin a book by Carrie Clarke, I secretly challenge her to outdo her last male protagonist. While I'll admit I still have eyes for Ben (he's a tough act to follow!), Will is definitely contending with Josh for the number two spot. "The Nature of Falling in Love" wasn't just a beautifully woven friends-to-lovers story; it was an entire experience. Carrie's depiction of Will's grief is so incredibly vivid, it's as if she's channeling her own emotions onto the page. Whether that's the case or not, for those of us who have known grief, the authenticity of Will's struggle with denial, self-destruction, and eventual growth is undeniable.

Say You'll Be Mine by Naina Kumar

I&rsquo;m genuinely speechless (first time for everything) realizing we&rsquo;ve come to the end of the Influencer series. Melanie, Tara, and Crystal have carved such a special place in my heart that I truly will miss their recurring presence in subsequent stories. And while I might be slightly bias as Exes and Os is my favorite in the series (I mean, it stars a Romance Bookstagrammer, come on!), Melanie&rsquo;s tale really resonates with me. Her story is one of acceptance, trust, embracing the unknown, and challenging logical reasoning (no matter how sound it may be).

The Catch (Book #3 of the The Influencer Series) by Amy Lea

While this book is compared to the likes of Emily Henry, Sally Thorne and Ali Hazelwood, it does march to the beat of its own drum &ndash; whether that is a positive or negative is up to the reader.&nbsp; With similarities of the People Who We Meet on Vacation (timeline jumps, historical reference, flashbacks), Love, Just In is a slow-burn tale of two people who are so embedded in each others lives, they can seem to separate friendship from real feels, giving way to a rollercoaster ride of emotions when the stars align and they finally collide. Natalie Murray does an excellent job taking away the rose colored glasses of what we wish romance could be and reveals the truth: It&rsquo;s messy, it hurts, and it isn&rsquo;t an easy journey to navigate.

Love, Just In by Natalie Murray 

As a big fan of Falon Ballard&rsquo;s writing, I was over the moon excited to read Right on Cue &ndash; especially with it being a book based on two individuals acting in a rom-com with the female protagonist Emmy (i.e. the writer of the rom-com) playing the lead in her own story. The cleverness, the quick-witted exchanges, and the way Emmy highlights the outrageous aspects of romantic comedies are side-splittingly funny. &ldquo;Right on Cue&rdquo; holds a magnifying glass to every romantic comedy that&rsquo;s graced the big screen, the beloved Hollywood romances, and the production process at large, shining a light on all the imperfections we usually gloss over and reminding us of the real lives behind the fictional stories.

This book! Go ahead and sign me up for the rest because I am hooked! I hate that I am just learning about this series and coming in on book five because I feel like I have&nbsp;stepped into the middle versus learning about the Wilder family (and the amazing women who have tamed the brothers) from the beginning. Again, incentive to start from book one and work my way through &ndash; especially with some of the jaw dropping details that mention throughout Wilder at Last!&nbsp;Don&rsquo;t get me wrong, each book is a standalone!

Wilder at Last (Book #5 of the Wilder Adventures Series) by Serena Bell

While it is a standalone story, Snowed In takes place a little over two years after Holiday Romance. Keeping the same snappy dialogue and Walsh wit, Snowed In takes us back to the small town we fell in love with before, reintroduces us to the Fitzpatrick clan, and shows us that with a little Christmas magic, anything is possible. I will warn you, read Holiday Romance first; otherwise, you will have spoilers and may not understand the story of Andrew and Molly that continues in Snowed In.

Although Karen Lieversz has a plethora of anthologies under her belt, With or Without Panties is her debut novel romantic comedy. The quirkiness and chemistry of her characters with the splash of suspense and a pinch of bromance makes this book an instant favorite.&nbsp;

To say I love this book would be far too easy. To say I am head over hills for Sam and Anita would feel repetitive. Instead, I will say I have never read a book where I feel like I could step into the pages. The Write Way For Love engulfs you, pulling you into the small town of Moonshine, Australia. From the hijinks of the townspeople, to the bromance of Reece and Sam, to the magic that is Anita and the circus, you will grow to know, love, and figuratively stand beside them, experiencing all the feels that only an exceptional writer can provide.

Sophie Cousens has quickly become one of my favorite authors. With relatable characters and thought provoking stories, you find yourself walking away with more than you thought one could from a fun loving romantic comedy. Each of her books gives more than it takes and The Good Part is no exception.

The Good Part by Sophie Cousens

The splayed open honest communication in this book was so refreshing that I had to make sure I mentioned it. There was no &ldquo;saving face&rdquo; or long breaks due to miscommunication. Rachel Lynn Solomon (<a class="x1i10hfl xjbqb8w x6umtig x1b1mbwd xaqea5y xav7gou x9f619 x1ypdohk xt0psk2 xe8uvvx xdj266r x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r xexx8yu x4uap5 x18d9i69 xkhd6sd x16tdsg8 x1hl2dhg xggy1nq x1a2a7pz notranslate _a6hd" tabindex="0" role="link" href="https://www.instagram.com/rlynn_solomon/">@rlynn_solomon</a>) did what every romance reader begs authors to do, she made the characters talk to each other, not just about the easy things but the hard, embarrassing, vulnerable truths we have a tendency to avoid. Add in the humor, sultry scenes, and (as always) fantastic writing and Business or Pleasure will be yet another book by Rachel that you simply can&rsquo;t put down. Business or Pleasure by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Truth be told, I REALLY struggled with this book. I also question the comparison of People We Meet on Vacation and The Unhoneymooners. Taking into account they are two strangers traveling together that have some hostility between them, that is the extent of the similarities. For this reason, readers may be set up with unrealistic expectations when diving in, setting the foundation for a less than thrilling reading experience &ndash; especially with the heavy, trigger topics throughout the book. As the debut novel of Elle Everhart, I wanted to like this book, especially after reading the summary, but it was only a three star experience for me. Rent to Be by Sonia Hartl 

Once again, Carrie Clarke takes a typical trope, puts her wickedly clever spin on it, and makes it refreshingly new and insanely entertaining. When I saw Blueprint for Falling in Love was the second book in the series, focusing on Josh and Greer, I immediately went &ldquo;Who?&rdquo; Not able to recall them, I did a quick scan of The Art of Falling in Love and reacquainted myself with their brief injection into the story. While I am not sure of the exact timeline, The Art for Falling in Love overlaps with Blueprint for Falling in Love, giving a sneak peek to readers on the insanity that is about to go down between Josh and Greer. Blueprint for Falling in Love (Falling in Love Book 2) by Carrie Clarke

I became a fan of Michelle Angelle&rsquo;s when I read Hammer My Heart. Meaning to go back to the beginning of their collection, I was gifted the opportunity to read Dear Roomie. I am so happy I did! I will admit I am a little jealous I can&rsquo;t be adopted by the Russo clan and participate in game night! Realization of this book being fictional aside, I think I actually broke a record on how quickly I finished it &ndash; I could NOT put it down. To even begin to explain how much I adored this family leaves me at a loss for words. Definitely intend to go back and read Gabe and Gloria&rsquo;s stories (two out of the SEVEN siblings). You want a challenge. Try keeping all seven names straight. If you are looking for lots of laughter, an abundance of family love and support, and of course a swoon worthy love story, you are in for a treat with Dear Roomie. Dear Roomie by Michelle Angelle

While I was bewildered by the title, I was drawn to this book based on the summary. A huge fan of the movie Center Stage and still building up the courage to watch Black Swan, I have an admiration for the dedication and sacrifice that goes into being a ballerina &ndash; especially the elite status of being a prima ballerina. To read a story of a woman who achieved the impossible only to lose it all, I wanted to see what message Rachel would carve out for her readers. Sushi and Sea Lions takes on the challenging approach of what happens after the fairytale is achieved and the credits roll. Sometimes they don&rsquo;t get to live happily ever after. What do they do then when their once perfect fairytale becomes their living nightmare? Sushi and Sea Lions by Rachel Corsini

Better Than This made me angry in a way a good book should. It also reminds me why I steer clear of romantic dramas (and also why people love them so much). I was completely invested in these characters and was so sucked in, I couldn&rsquo;t do anything else but see where the story went. I wanted to protect Ali, reassure Carl, scream at Taamarai, and we will leave out all things I wanted to do to Darren but I am positive the highest court wouldn&rsquo;t convict me! I know most avid romance readers have &ldquo;book loves&rdquo; or book boyfriends but Darren is officially my &ldquo;book loathe&rdquo;. I don&rsquo;t think I have ever detested a character as much as him. The raw feelings that clearly emit from this review is a true homage to Rose Marzin&rsquo;s writing ability. For fans of SNL or television parodies such as 30 Rock or Studio 60, this is the perfect book for you! New to Curtis Sittenfeld, I was so impressed by her talent in creating (what seemed like) a recollection of her real life experiences that I actually stopped to see if she, indeed, worked on SNL. While her biography is very intriguing, she in fact did not. This leads me to believe she either binged on 30 Rock (like I have) or simply created a plausible universe that one could easily believe. Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld

While &ldquo;A Brush with Love&rdquo; has been staring at me from my TBR list for awhile now, this is the first book I&rsquo;ve read by Mazey Eddings. I have to say 1) I thoroughly enjoyed it and 2) I am kicking myself for having not read A Brush With Love because it and Lizzie Blake&rsquo;s Best Mistake are within the same universe. While each are standalone, like most standalone with cross over characters &ndash; the stories intertwine and when read out of order, you end up with spoilers of the prior books. Despite the glimpse into the previous books, this one went straight to the bone. The intricate emotions Eddings weaves into the story pulls you in and doesn&rsquo;t let go. It&rsquo;s too real and too relatable as it describes moments, situations, and life experiences that anyone can either personally or within two degrees, relate. I love reading a book where the female lead (in this case &ndash; Violet) is someone I would hang out with in real life!
